Pinus Brutia Tea

Hello all!

I'm quite interested in survivalism and living off the land, especially how people make use of natural ingredients in teas, recipes and such. I live in Cyprus, and here we have the Pinus Brutia pine tree, which I was wondering if it would be safe to use the needles of it to make a tea? I'd like to ask before I actually consume it, though I did grab some and stuck it in boiling water for about 15 minutes, mainly to experiment and see what became of it after boiling (It looked like a tea, it went a bit brown).

I scoured Google for an answer but no luck, unfortunately.

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me on this subject!
