Guest guest
The way the matter should have been handled, and could still be handled is this: Republish the editions of Srila Prabhupada's books as they were when he was on the earth and footnote any changes in a scholarly edition the way that it is generally done. In this way, additional notes, verses, rewordings and comments could be incorporated without any change or alteration to the original text. Those notes, comments, verses, etc. can then be analyzed by the reader as additional information, and not a rewording of the original text. This is the way scholarly editions of other classic manuscripts and spiritual books are generally approached. This could still be done, and most everyone would be satisfied with this standard.
