Guest guest Posted July 8, 2003 Report Share Posted July 8, 2003 Organized Sripad Bhaktivedanta Govibda Mahraja, in 1998, on the occasion of the famious Inka Sun Festival (Intirayme), devotees from Bolivia Chile and Peru are inviting to gather for 3 days of chanting, yajna and feasting. This is a first of a yearly South American Andes Mountains Vaishnava Mela. The Sun Island in the Titikaka Lake is a famious location of the old Inka culture. Everybody reaches by boat from Copacabana town. The Mela is held from the 18th - 21st of June 1998. We also announce that next year's Mela will be in the Hare Krishna Truly Ashram close to Lima Peru.
