Organized Sripad Bhaktivedanta Govibda Mahraja, in 1998, on the occasion of the famious Inka Sun Festival (Intirayme), devotees from Bolivia Chile and Peru are inviting to gather for 3 days of chanting, yajna and feasting. This is a first of a yearly South American Andes Mountains Vaishnava Mela.

 

The Sun Island in the Titikaka Lake is a famious location of the old Inka culture. Everybody reaches by boat from Copacabana town.

 

The Mela is held from the 18th - 21st of June 1998. For more information or to register your participation please contact Panchatattva das at: wva@owplaza.com

 

Bring warm clothing, it is the highest lake in the world at 4000 meters above sea level.

 

We also announce that next year's Mela will be in the Hare Krishna Truly Ashram close to Lima Peru. In the year 2000 the Mela will be held in Banios Equador, in the ecological farm called: Vrindavan, Jardin Ecologico.
