This city, hit by violence, will change, this time, its face before the whole world, being the scenery for this great festival. Next June 25, the city will see Sri Jagannath "The Lord of the Universe", in His gigantic chariot, driven through the main streets of the city, followed by theatrical performances, hindu dance, singing, debut of the Gurukula children, distribution of delicious and tasty sweets, vegetarian food (Prasadam) and the presence of devotees coming from all the world over. We are waiting for your suggestions and blessings so that Lord Jagannath purifies all the people in this corner of the world. Please make sure your attendance jagannatha@epm.net.co History of Lord Jagannath's Chariot Festival. "Ratha" means chariot and "Yatra" means Temple. For more than two thousand years this festival takes place in Puri (India). Millions of people participate there with great joy and devotion. In the big chariot in the center pompously colored and decorated, you will see the forms of Jagannath, the Lord of the Universe; Baladeva, His brother and Subhadra their sister. According to Vedic Scriptures, whoever that sees Lord Jagannath sitting in His chariot or helps to throw its large and long ropes, he will become inmediately very dear to Him, he will receive big blessings and will not return to this material world. Every year the devotees of Krishna celebrate this festival in the whole world. During the ceremony they distribute delicious sweet, they dance and sing happily. The atmosphere trascends time, it is charged with ecstatic feelings, perfumes, incence, and you can feel the waves of the spiritual sound of the Maha Mantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare; Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, every where.
