Guest guest
His Grace Parambrahma das Adhikari, the well-known disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, died peacefully in his sleep last night, 27 February 2000, at his home adjacent to the Alachua temple property. His death was discovered in the morning. He is survived by his widow, Srimati Mankumari devi dasi, also a senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada. As well as being a past temple president of both New Vrndavan and Alachua. Parambrahma was also an accomplished architect who had helped design and build the Alachua New Raman Reti temple in 1995. He had presently been busy at work overseeing the remodeling of the new Main Street House vegetarian restaurant in Alachua. I saw him there on Friday afternoon and we talked and joked for a few minutes. He seemed fine and looked healthy. I had also seen him at the morning program a few mornings previous to that. He also served on the community master plan committee. The Alachua community is shocked and saddened by the loss of this senior vaishnava, and all morning devotees have been streaming to the house to offer their respects and condolences to Mankumari dasi. Funeral ceremonies will be in several days in Gainesville. Personally, I feel vacant and alone now that this advanced devotee is no longer present before our vision. May Lord Krishna bless Parambrahma prabhu and may He keep and protect his widow, Mankumari prabhu.
