Guest guest
For over two decades this small, resort town in the foothills of California's Sierra Mountains has been home for many disciples and followers of Srila Prabhupada. This week that spiritual tradition comes alive like no other time of the year. The greater family of Central California devotees will be celebrating a special 'non sectarian' Gaura Purnima festival in grand fashion this Sunday, March 19th in Three Rivers. Festival organizers want a festival free of politics and sectarianism. "This is a Gaura Purnima festival for all the devotees of Lord Caitanya, regardless of spiritual affiliations. Let everyone come, chant, dance and take prasadam. I think that will please Srila Prabhupada very much." Special guest speaker Hridayananda das Goswami. will deliver the Gaura Purniam address. Festivities begin at 1 PM. Classical Bharat Natyam dancer, Lesandre will perform devotional dances of South India. There will also be an abhisekha along with ecstatic kirtans and sumptuous prasadam feast. WHERE: Veterans Memorial Building, Dinely Drive and Hwy 198, Three Rivers WHEN: 1 PM, Gaura Purnima, Sunday, March 19 For more information call Nagapatni dasi (559) 734-4463 or Yuga Dharma das at (559) 561-4071
