New CD out now - titled Oriya Bhajan by His Divine Grace Srila Gour Govinda Swami. Hear the songs of the Vaisnava Acharyas sung Oriya style.

 

His Divine Grace learned bhajan/kirtan from his mother's side of the family who are famous as kirtana guru's in Orissa, since the time of Syamananda Pandit some 350 years back, prior to that His Divine Grace's mother's family lived in Midnapore, Bengal. This ancient dynasty are all Krsna bhaktas and his great, great, great... Grandfather was a follower of Mahaprabhu. His Divine Grace's mother's family and father's families have a long standing tradition as Vaisnavas.

 

You can read all about Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja's famous Vaisnava ancestry in the recently published book by Tattva-vichar Publications titled Krsnalingita-vigraha - "One who is alway embraced by Krsna", volume one. Which is the first volume of His Divine Grace's life story.

 

The CD is also released by the devotees publishing His Divine Grace's books in Perth, Australia, under the publishing name Tattva-vichar Publications.
