Guest guest
If, as the Beatles once sang, ''The love you take is equal to the love you make,'' then fans the world over owe ailing guitarist George Harrison, a top fan says. Rip Rense, a free-lance writer and longtime contributing editor to Beatlefan magazine, called on people across the world to pause at noon on Sunday and shout ''Hare Krishna!'' in Harrison's honor. -- “...called on people across the world to pause at noon on Sunday and shout ''Hare Krishna!'' in Harrison's honor. ” -- ''The idea is for everybody to think happy thoughts about him and to send them to him,'' Rense said. ''It's sort of a gigantic human get-well card.'' He also called on people in parks and other public places to play one of Harrison's most popular post-Beatles songs, ''My Sweet Lord.'' Harrison, 58, recently denied tabloid reports that he is gravely ill with cancer, saying he is ''active and very well.'' He has undergone treatment for a brain tumor, however, and a cancerous lump was removed from his neck in 1997. He also was wounded by a knife-wielding intruder who broke into his home in 1999.
