Guest guest
By Richard Wallace (from Mirror UK) GEORGE Harrison faced his four-year battle with lung cancer with "courage and good grace", his widow Olivia has said. The former secretary - married to the Beatle for 23 years - said George's Hare Krishna beliefs were vital in his final months. Speaking for the first time about her husband, on the eve of the anniversary of his death in Los Angeles at the age of 58, she said: "George dedicated a lot of his life to attaining a good ending and I don't have any doubt that he was successful. "He gave his life to God a long time ago. He wasn't trying to hang on to anything. He wasn't. He was fine with it. Nobody likes to be ill, nobody likes to be uncomfortable. But he went with what was happening." Olivia, 54, spoke on a US TV show, for the first time since his death. In a previously unseen home video, shot a year before he died, Harrison said: "Sometimes I feel like I am actually on the wrong planet? I think 'What the hell am I doing here?'"
