Guest guest
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Please let me share with you a few impressions from our recent Chandan Yatra festival at Narasimha-Ksetra. The inauguration of the festival took place on Friday evening [August 22] in the form of a fire yajna invoking all auspiciousness and blessings and diminishing the demoniac influences of those adverse to the worship of the Lord. On Saturday morning, about three kgs of sandalwood pulp were applied on the body of the Lord, and the result was indeed overwhelming. If you doubt my words, please have a look at the attached photo. In the evening, Lord Narasimha and His consort, Laksmidevi, surprisingly desired to enjoy Their Jhulan Yatra (swinging) pastime. Of course, Lord Narasimha's swing is a bit different from Krishna's swing, as are the mood and the kirtan mellow. Narasimhadeva loved it, and His devotees, including H.H. Bhaktivikasa Maharaja and H.G. Manidhara Prabhu, enjoyed swinging Sri Sri Laksmi-Narasimhadeva. Speaking of Krishna and Narasimha, my own realization those days as a pujari was that although the mood of worshiping Laksmi-Narasimha is different from the mood of worshipping Radha-Krishna, the result is quite similar because of the philosophical background provided to us by Srila Prabhupada. My attachment to Krishna was enhanced. On Sunday morning, all the sandalwood pulp had to be removed before the abhiseka at 6:15. For those of you who could not come to the festival, we have some consolation for you: we have kept all the maha-sandal wood paste from Narasimha's transcendental body for you (especially for the members of the Verein für Vedische Kultur Jandelsbrunn e.V.) and you may pick it up when coming for our next festival. Once more, dear devotees, please hear my appeal. Do not hesitate any longer. Just come and take shelter at Narasimha's cooling lotus feet (they bestow relief from all suffering) and come enjoy the company of other devotees. Ananta koti vaishnava vrinda ki jai! Bhakti-vigna-vinasana Sri Sri Prahlada-Narasimhadeva ki jai! Your servants The Narasimha Ksetra Team
