Priitaa
I just read a post which asked to please put a book as a PDF file because it is easier, etc, etc., etc. Now, please, would someone explain to me how it is easier, better, more beneficial, etc. Because I use to have the abott reader installed in my comp and would download PDF files. Here is what happened to me. 1) They took FOREVER to download. Even just for the beginnings of the first page to open took forever. 2) Once they did, they had this weird little grabby-hand instead of an arrow for a curser and that hand did not seem to work in the same way, yet no explanation of how to use it. 3) I did not find it easier to read, but more difficult. The pages are not as solid (for lack of a better word) as a web page of the book would have been. 4) I can't save it to favorite places. Maybe its a book and meant to be kept on my hard drive? In which case, I don't see the advantage of taking up so much memory on my hard drive. 5) It appears one must be somewhat computer savy to use PDF files. Do you have to take some mini-course online or somewhere about how to use PDF? Can anyone answer the above questions? And can anyone give me reasons why PDF is easier than a book which has been put onto web page format? Cuz I dont see it. YS, Priitaa
