1) if spiritually we are all equal, then originally why did some of us decide to leave Krishna, and others didn't?

2) why did Krishna create souls with personalities that desired to be God, or compete with God?

3) why did Krishna create a material world full of miseries, we desired to compete with God, but we didn't ask four the four miseries of birth, old age, death and disease, did we?

4) why didn't we just go back to Krishna straight away - why did Krishna create us so dumb that we would decide to stay in the material world?

5) Why does Krishna not at least give us memory of 1 previous life, so that we realise how much we suffered in the material world, and so we would go back to him?

Hare Krishna.

All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gaurangga,

Krishna has created all the living entities, but He gave them independence to think and to have desires. If an ordinary man has that much of power, he may order all people to serve him and to love him. But this is dictatorship. Krishna wants all the souls to serve and love Him willingly, not out of force.

If we are given memories of last birth, for sure our life will become more miserable. can u imagine if u were killed by ur mom in last birth? When we get a new body, we are given another whole new chance to realize Krishna and put an end to the cycle of birth and death. In chapter 2, Krishna says, "Nehabhikramo naso sti..." even a single step in this bhakti yoga can give one the greatest benediction. that is y, although v don't carry the previous life's memories, we still cotinue Krishna Consciousness from the same point where we stopped at previous birth. Don't u think that is already more than enough? at least we are able to continue our efforts in KC, births after births? this shows, Krishna is loving and caring all the souls which He created. He wants all of us to go back to Him with our own desires.

Haribol.

1) if spiritually we are all equal, then originally why did some of us decide to leave Krishna, and others didn't?

--freedom.. we have the same god's qualities, he's supremely free, we are free, but we are not supreme, so we need to receive by god the power to act with freedom. When we decide that we want to be god, instead of servants of god, he, through maya, make us forgetful of our constitutional position to make us free to be rebels, egoists

2) why did Krishna create souls with personalities that desired to be God, or compete with God?

--because he's supreme love, love means that we voluntarily want to serve someone giving to him or her the freedom to reciprocate or not. So god wants us free, he does not need us, he only loves us.

3) why did Krishna create a material world full of miseries, we desired to compete with God, but we didn't ask four the four miseries of birth, old age, death and disease, did we?

--this is also to grant us freedom.. if this world would be eternal, conscious and blissful, like the spiritual world, we would never use the freedom to choose a spiritual path to go back to godhead. Another example of the freedom given by krsna is when he sends us avataras and masters from the spiritual souls to give us the possibility to learn how go back to Him (remember, we are emanated by god and our powers, like the freedom, are given by god)

4) why didn't we just go back to Krishna straight away - why did Krishna create us so dumb that we would decide to stay in the material world?

--many of the souls falling in this material world come back when they are at the start of their unfortunate journey, when they are brahma or other big and powerful devatas.. so the suffering is relatively not too much. The other thing is that, for the same reason to grant us freedom, krsna has made a very powerful maya. She is so able to make us forget all the eternal bliss of vaikunta because we have to be free to think that we are the body and that we are the gods of this world and not servants of the supreme personality of godhead sri krsna bhagavan

5) Why does Krishna not at least give us memory of 1 previous life, so that we realise how much we suffered in the material world, and so we would go back to him?

--because krsna is loyal, tolerant and respectiful .. if we do not desire to come back he does not bother us, he gives us the freedom to remain there. And if we would know really that we had a previous life we'd know that we are not this body and from there everything could be very easy. But god does not want to force us to come home
