Why is Krishna not as merciful as Caitanya?

If you go direct to Krishna, you won't necessarily get material benefit...

If yo go to Shiva, then (through Krishna) you get material benefit cos Shiva is easy to please...

Now what if you want something material but in order to serve Krishna better (spiritual purpose), what is the harm in going to Shiva?

OK, so when one goes to Krishna why does he not grant material benefit as compassionately as Shiva, if the material benefit is for a spiritual purpose (to serve Krishna better)?

Ok, so maybe Krishna does not grant material benefit as readily as Shiva, cos he recognises that although the material benefit serves some spiritual purpose, it will still be enjoyed. For example you ask for cure from a disease. Its a material benefit, but for a spiritual purpose, since without the disease you can serve Krishna better. Does Krishna not grant it as readily as Shiva, because you are also going to 'feel better' (sense gratification?) as a result of no disease?

I understand Caitanya is more merciful and we go to Him because his will is identical to Krishna, but his mercy is greater than Krishna. So would Caitanya more readily rid someone of disease? And if so, why does Krishna not grant same mercy?

Is Shiva not also with identical will to Krishna, after all he is a plenary expansion of Krishna, and he is easily pleased so why is it so 'sinful' to go to Shiva for boons, especially if you are going to use those boons ultimately to srve Krishna?

--because krsna in gita says "surrender and i will protect from the sin's reaction.." chaitanya mahaprabhu saves everyone even without surrendering, but it is a play a lila.. chaitanya is non different from krsna

--no harm, if you desire something for devotional service this is not material.... but do not worship siva thinking that krsna had not the powers to fulfill directly your desire.. this is aparadha

--there's not that question, anything used and desired for devotional sevice is not material at all, and both krsna and siva can give spiritual advantages, not that siva cannot give devotion
