Guest guest
Vedic Gemology Gets New Leadership By Hrsikesananda das ACBSP/BHVM By The Planetary Gemologists Association - http://www.p-g-a.org Vedic Gemology gets new leadership as the Planetary Gemologists Association (SANSKRIT: Graha-anukul-ratna-viseshajna-parishad) welcomes it's new Acting Secretary, Srila Prabhupada disciple Sriman Hamsavatar Dasa aka Howard Beckman, GG, PG. Howard is one of only 5 recognised Planetary Gemologists (PG) in the world. A PG is both a Vedic astrologer capable of correctly choosing planetary gems based on Jyotish, as well as being a certified Gemologist. This combination of Planetary Gem Advisor AND Gemologist is very rare and there are only five known PG Diploma holders out of almost 180 Association members from around the globe. Former Acting Secretary, Richard Shaw-Brown aka Hrisikesh Das, who is also a disciple of Srila Prabhupada initiated in 1967, helped to found the Association along with Vedic heavyweights such as The Astrological Magazine Editor, Smt. Gayatri Devi Vasudev, Dr. A.K. Bhattacharya, Sriman Chakrapani Ullal, Prof. Dr. Satya Vrat Shastri (Padma Sri), Dr. Dennis Harness (President of the ACVA), as well as the Royal Astrologers of both Thailand and Nepal, and a host of others, including Howard. The Association (Parishad) was founded in 1999 and has since grown to over 180 PGA Code following members. The PGA also features an "OFF List" of PGA Code breakers as a service to inform and protect the public. The PGA's Six Codes of Professional Ethics were voted into place by over 90% of the members. The Six PGA Codes are: PGA Codes of Professional Ethics 1) PGA Members shall not sell nor promote the use of synthetic gemstones to any customers who are purchasing gems for jyotish prescription. 2) PGA Members shall not sell nor promote the use of very flawed gems to customers purchasing for jyotish prescription. 3) PGA Members shall always be open and honest as to the possible treatments or enhancements of any gems they sell for jyotish prescription. 4) PGA Members shall not recommend gems to clients which are astrologically harmful to the client for jyotish prescription. 5) PGA Members shall not violate any copyrighted material or design, text or graphic, with out lawful consent of the copyright holder. 6) PGA Members may not represent themselves as official spokespersons of the PGA without PGA President Pandit Vidyadhar Shukla's written authorization; Likewise, no one may represent themselves as a PG (Planetary Gemologist) or a PGA (Planetary Gem Advisor) without official certification by the Planetary Gemologists Association.
