Guest guest
This is about the arrest of the junior pontiff. The manner in which he was arested is like rubbing salt to the wound of having to witness the arrest of senior pontiff of kanchi. What right does the police have to enter into the mutt and that too when the junior seer was in the midst of puja is not known. Wud the police dare to set right thier foot inside a church (or) a masjid, leave alone arresting any of thier preists or religious heads. The whole of India would have erupted and the whole world wud have joined hands in admionishing the act, if done so. Unfortunately we hindus, are brought uo in such a way stating that everyting is due to bad time and GOD will set right. I dont deny that GOD will punish the wrong doer, but I personnely feel that its a high time that we hindus, for that matter of fact, every beleiver of the mutt should resort to more active action. I am also ashamed to note that in the name of freedom of press, the reputation of the mutt and in particular the name of the pontiffs have been tarnished to the most unimgainbale extent. Are there no learned men amongst we hindus who can raise objections to these sort of acts. Lets all join together and show that the HINDUS are not silent spectators to everything and we shall prove the fact as stated in a proverb which says that If a sadhu revolts, even the wildest forests cannot sustain his anger. Come and join. Let we HINDUS make a new begining in the owrld order. Ramesh.A
Guest guest
Dear Ramesh, Well said! It's a pity that nobody wanted to write any answer on this site to your well addressed question. As such Iskcon doesn't even recognizes anything called Hindu at all! So don't be surprised. Hinduism has given birth to all kind of sects and then these sects develop and want a separate identity. But Hindus are patient and don't really revolt. They are peace loving. It is a shame indeed that nobody protested against the arrest of the Seer in such a abrasive manner. Hindus should be more alert on their position.
Guest guest
Hindus are not shamed, by Shankaracharya arrest. Jayalalitha is a shame to vaishnavas, being an iyengar. Crazy people of tamil nadu who have been the origin of bakthy movement in India, have done themselves shame by electing such personalities. Just wait & watch for more to come from Jayalalitha & the future elected CMs by the people of tamil nadu. The psuedo dharmics & the ritualistic & clutural people of Tamil nadu didn't stop their cultural show time of december activities, when the tsunami struck. Social responsiveness should replace this blind psuedo bakthy. Else the people of tamil nadu will continue to pay the price for their own ignorance (not point blaming politicians). Don't feel sorry for shankarachya. they are realized, they know it's their body imprisoned, and they spent most time spending with their spirituality or using their body to serve people. Their mounam as they come out of prison, certainly does hindus proud. May their silence bring some luck to the people of tamil nadu and give them some wisdom. Guest guest
my dear ramesh, hare krinha, pls accept my greetings and blessings of their lordships sri sri radha krishna for you and your family wellbeing. i read your letter and your greaf and aungish about our socalled hindu leaders and masses who are not reacted nor supported the swamiji.what is the reason for it and why? most of our socalled high society people, say intellecutals, writers, poets, doctors, engineers, higly educated people including women are americanised or westranised and feel that the hindu way of life is barbaric and out dated and useless and they respect more westren way of life than ours.so pls don't expect from these people any response or simpathy and also most of the media contorled by them and even daily news papers you can find in the form of news or in the form adds it is mostly westranised.now coming to the masses they have no brain or no will because most of the time they or worried about their daily sustanase and they do go to temples and do the pujas and celebrate the festivals because they are following their peers and as the family tradation.no one has the knowledge why and what for they or doing pujas and observing the festivals so you can't expect much from them.all over the world in every country they boldly declare their religion as chirstians/muslims/zeonist/buddhists/etc expect in india as indians we don't have nerve or gutts or currage to declare that this is hindu country why? because of these so called intellecutals or educated people of our country. with regards. pbdas. my e-mail address pbdas@rediffmail.com
Guest guest
Let's not mock the westerners & fight like the militant islams for the western model of honour & prestige & religious declaration. Let's learn to be calm. Let's learn to be indifferent to the press and other psuedo intellects in india who view the minorities, lower class & others as horrible victims of a majority Hindu following. Therefore, not letting go of any opportunity to show hindusim in low light. These guys should go out of business, with our indifference to them, as our reactions will make sure that these press elements stay in business, and these psuedo intellects assume bigger social responsibility. More so we should go to elect leaders in the polls with a positive agenda and vote. And NOT with a dirty baggage of emotions, like oh..poor lady, oh..my hero MGR, oh..what a disgrace to my hero it will be if I don't vote for him ..etc. When a citizen votes with personal emotions/worship, and not for a positive agenda for the country, it's as good as a sin, whatever may be his bakthy for jayalalitha, MGR or a god figure. The citizen of tamil nadu have shamed themselves enough. I want to consider this irresponsibility of citizens in a democratic society as a seperate thing. I dont' consider raising mass adrenalin provoking upon the honour of hindusim will achieve anything for us.
