I advised her that I got married a few years ago and now have a son who was born with Down Syndrome. She asked me why I didn't take the test and told me she didn't think anything was wrong with aborting if there was something wrong with the fetus. Abortion is wrong in general, but if for example the woman is raped then abortion may not be sinful, and in the case of a diseased baby. I don't know what Srila Prabhupada would have said. I do know that in the case of a person suffering, thus like on a life support machine. Srila Prabhupada said it was a waste of money to keep such people alive.
