Guest guest
Hi, I am a creative kind of guy who likes to paint pictures. I am very inspired by the pictures created by KC artists. Can someone please advise me on how to actually get started in painting these very beautiful and memorable pictures. At the moment I have quite a lot of free time to fulfill this desire of mine and have a passion for creating beautiful works of art. I would appreciate any useful info or advice (things like ideas, media to use - paints etc). Thanks

Guest guest
I am a devotee artist with a BFA in painting. My passion is also to paint Krishna's pastimes. I first saw the beautiful paintings in books and in the temple much as you did. Over the years I've become friends with some of the original and great artist of the movement. I recently started a production company with an art department. We are working on some grand plans. Here are some suggestions, Use oil on canvas - using oil as a medium with the colored pigments offers the artist a chance to paint in layers and transperencies. Bringing Krishna's pastimes to the physical eye. Practice with prints from India - collect a good supply a those little posters of the "Gods and Goddesses." They have all the correct postures, paraphenalia, etc. from the scriptures. Create your own compositions from the Srimad Bhagavatam - there are endless scenes to paint. Start with some good and complete sketches. For more info please write to joshdorta@ Please E-mail me..
