Susie
Hi everyone! I have been reading here and there about chanting but do not know how to get started. I am new to all of this and do not have a guru. What kind of beads are used? Thanks, Susie
Guest guest
normally we use string of 108 tulasi or neem beads to chant, but it is not a requirement. However, it will help you focus. like the ones see near the bottom of this page. http://www.thekrishnastore.com/Search.bok?keyword=beads&searchpath=7f00000110600b5f3c122&start=33&total=51 just chant this anytime, anyplace...with or without the mala (beads): hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare
sarvo
So many years and now I'm only just beginning to see how the more I bring to the mantra, the better. My fears, my hopes, my love, whatever I can summon up and offer to Krishna, I need to bring and give. During one very stessful period in my preaching efforts I was being regularly threatened by people. I was in fear for my life. Now, if I can recapture the rounds I was chanting during that period, it improves my concentration and sincerity.
