Guest guest
How will you argue with the following statement; "If human beings have the fee will, then great evil will somemtimes result"
Guest guest
Dear Sir, Hare Krishna! We are not here to argue /images/graemlins/smile.gif As far as free will is concerned, the "free will" that human beings have is infinitely minute compared to the will of the Lord. Our will should be to serve the Lord, but it is when we decide not to serve the Lord, and instead serve ourselves and our senses, that calamity occurs. Use your free will to chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Guest guest
also to add - if we didnt have free will then it would NOT be possible for us to exercise our love for God. The reason being is because love is voluntary thing, it not something that can be forced upon someone otherwise we might aswell just be an object, but we r not, each of us r a soul with mind, intelligence & ego. The Lord gives us free will because we want to be Lord ourselves and he allows us to take a Lordly role in a limited capacity by putting us in the material world. Its a matter of time b4 we all figure out the illusion that we r not the "real" Lord who is Krsna. Yeh sometimes free will can result in bad things thats why we have to use our free will for good things which why we are trying to follow Lord Caitanya message and spread this love of Godhead freely and undiscrimanantly to all so that everyone can have the chance to use there free will for good like serving deities, devotees, making/honouring prasad, doing kirtan, dancing for the Lord etc and not bad things like killing animals, murdering, thinking nasty things of ppl etc. Hope thats clear /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Guest guest
Srila BhaktiVinoda Thakur's Jaiva-Dharma contains a very elaborate discussion on this (Chapters 15, 16 and 17 on Jiva-tattva) One of the translations can be found here: http://www.purebhakti.com/library/jd/JaivaDharma_v2.zip
