Dear Prabhus,

there is a school of thought that Krishna and His incarnations are equal; in other words, although Krishna is the source, He is fully represented in all His incarnations.

The other school of thought of course is that there is a difference. For example, SP teaches that uttering 1 name of Krishna is as good as uttering 3 names of Rama and uttering 1000 names of Vishnu (in other words, saying "Krishna" is as good as saying the entire Vishna Sahashranama!!).

Is there Vedic proof for either school? Is there Vedic proof that 1 name of Krishna is as good as 1000 of Vishnu?

thanks!

Haribol
