Guest guest
Dear sirs, Please, share what is considered to be the final aim for the devotee. Haven't seen anyone merging in the impersonality, nor attaining perfection. Why would one like to dissapear? I suppose sorrow would make one like to dissapear. Is not the aim to change sorrow into happiness? What is perfection?
Guest guest
Jaya Sri Krsna jaya Sri Radhe! Dear one, Perfection is God. His Name, Krishna, Govinda or Bhagavan (God have 1000 names or more) the final aim for the devotee? Love God and serve Him for eternity. God in return, gives you transcendental loving, and shelter in is abode: KrishnaLoka or GoLoka It is a long journey...birth after birth, since time immemorial. It can be done in your lifetime if you REALY want. First, read Bhagavad Gita, then go to a ISKCON temple, and find a "Guru" or Spiritual Master to iniciate you. That should help. May Krishna help and gide you.
Guest guest
The answer in essence ... Lies in the book Jaiva Dharma by Sri Vinod Thakura. This essential point is made about means and ends: 'The goal of fruitive activities (karma) is material sense pleasure (bhukti). The goal of philosophical speculation (jnana) is impersonal liberation (mukti). The goal of devotional service (bhakti) is pure love of God (prema -bhakti). The final conclusion then, is that bhakti is the final means, and the goal attained by bhakti is bhakti. Fruitive work (karma) and philosophical speculation are only the primary and intermediate links in the chain of means of goals. They are not the goal. Guest guest
Indeed saing the aim of bhakti is bhakti indicates the cyclic patter we are in. Still in the cycle we pass different stages. Highest stage of perfection and lowest stage of degradation. We are to reach again our highest state. Why and how we reached degradation? Human beings all fall. Only one Supreme soul who is ever pure comes to uplift all souls like Ram, Krishna, Abraham Budh, Christ who in their final birth have fallen down.
