Guest guest
in the Gita where he says, "Among adityas, I am Visnu." So Visnu and Krishna are different, and Visnu is just a solar deity? Can someone please explain this?
Guest guest
That is merely one of the things he is. Does not Krishna speak more about Vishnu?

sumedh
Hare Krishna These verses are about the vibhuti (opulences) of the Lord. So the Lord also says that He is the concluding vak in a debate and so on, which does not mean that Krishna is just a material vak etc.
Guest guest
Hare Krishna and all glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga.. Krishna and Vishnu are different - Vishnu is an expansion of Krishna. in the verses that you refer to, Krishna is saying that whatever in this world is extra-ordinary, whether good OR bad, is reflective of his extra-ordinary potencies. Therefore, he says that he is the highest of mountains, the chief of priests, the biggest of vices, etc Haribol
