The Universal Teacher

Devavision Productions is pleased to announce the release of the long awaited video THE UNIVERSAL TEACHER [a documentary on the life and teachings of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura].

The official DVD release of THE UNIVERSAL TEACHER was originally planned for this year's ISKCON Vaisnava Film Festival and also the WVA [World Vaisnava Association] meeting to be held at Mayapura during the annual Gaura Purnima Festival. However, it has come to our notice that advanced copies of the DVD have already found their way into the Vaisnava community and some of the rare film clips from the DVD have been uploaded to the internet.

This unscheduled release is not a problem for Devavision Productions but we would like to encourage all devotees to see the film in its entirety and not simply drink up the little drops of nectar floating around cyber-space.

Therefore, Devavision Productions has decided to step up the release of this film which as of today is available online at our official website www.devavision.org/orders/

THE UNIVERSAL TEACHER is the product of years of difficult research and the collecting of photos, film clips, and data on the life and teachings of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura. This documentary is a unique look into the life of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, the times in which he preached, the founding of his mission [the Gaudiya Matha], his taking sannyasa in 1918, his travels in India, his mission in Europe, his principles for carrying out the sankirtana movement of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, his departure from this mortal world, and the progress of the sankirtana movement up to the year 2006.
