Guest guest
All works written after the Vedas and Upanishads are regarded as Smritis. These also include Puranas, Shastras and Sutras. Therefore NO, the MANUSMRITI is not a part of the Vedas at all! santripti vellody
Guest guest
if you are a hindu and care for hindus and hinduism or vaishnavism, then please read gita only. that is sufficient for all the guidiance in this time. manu smriti was never a book of law in practice as saria is in some islamic countries. yes, the hindus did malpractice hinduism, and that is unfortunate, but it is in the past and now the hindus want to practice it correctly. so, no need to harp on manu smriti if you are a hindu or hindu's friend. jai sri krishna!
