Guest guest
Hello, Can a Hindu believe that there is life on other planets, or do all Hindus believe that the Earth is the only place where God created living things? Thanks in advance! Mandy
Guest guest
god in his brahman aspect is all pervading life comes from god so life is all pervading so there's not a planet or a star without inhabitants vedas and puranas speak with detail on many planets and universes some planets are more "confortable" than the heart and they are called heavenly some planets are more painful... and they are called hellish one goes in a planet or another according his past actions... karma beyond all this (FINITE) universes of the material world there's the infinite ones of the spiritual world.. VAIKUNTA where god is residing with an infinite number of companions religion, any religion, is meant to go back there
Guest guest
Many Hindus believe in life on other planets, though not in our solar system, but the millions of other solar systems out there. I think also you can be re-incarnated in other bodies on other planets.
Guest guest
why should one not believe in the existance of life on other planets? why would the Surpeme God only create life on one planet in a whole galaxy with billions more. Why couldnt there be life on a small planet billions and billions of light years away, totally undetected by us (and us to them). I totally believe it exists, i believe its possible to reincarnate on different planets too. how would one know. In their current body, they would tend to think in the manner in which that species thinks and normal human thought does not include alien society so one would not be inclined to think in terms of alien society. the soulw ill use what it has learned in an alien incarnation and mentally translate it in terms of human society. in doing so, the soul woulnt even know that they werent human last life around. I totally beliebe it tho
maadhav
according to the vedic literature, we on the earth are not alone in space, and we are not that significant either in the total creation eithr. stories of space travel and its relativistic consequences are there in there. so, relativity was well known long long (milleniums)ago before einstein. Guest guest
some one else may know where, but in the Srimad Bhagavatam, there is discription of various planetary systems according to vedic understanding http://srimadbhagavatam.com/
Guest guest
Hi Mandy, from what I understand, the Hindu demigods and devas are actually beings that live on other planets and planes of existence. They descend to earth from time to time and even take on earthly forms to do so. If you consider beings from other planets aliens, then Hindus do have aliens in their metaphysics of the universe.
