gokulkr
In Sanskrit Daitya-sudha (samaasa of daityaanaam sudhaa) means "the nectar of the demons". So "Daitya Sudham" applies to which God ? (Shiva or Vishnu) Theres a "Daitya Sudham Temple" near "Somanatha" Temple in Saurashtra - Gujarat. So thats why i am asking. I am a sourashtrian. My Community Deity is hypothesized as Deity of "Daitya Sudham Temple". But i am in Tamilnadu now. Only our ancestors lived in Gujarat. So please reply correctly. /images/graemlins/smile.gif OM NAMAH SIVAYA /images/graemlins/smile.gif OM NAMO VENKATESHAYA

Guest guest
Humph I myself found the answer. I searched in Gujarat temple sites and found that it is a Vishnu temple. Full name of the deity is "Daitya Sudham Thakore". Thakore - means "head of all ie., master of all" . yes Vishnu is master of the universe. In this temple Vishnu holds his chakra in his left hand. so its unique temple. But saurashtrians always consider "Thirupathi Venkateswara" as Community deity instead of "Daitya Sudham Thakore". Anyway, both are vishnu only . hehe So my sect of saurashtrians are "Vada killai Vaishnavas" following "Suddhadvaita" (Vishnuswami's Rudra Sampradaya). Hmm Suddhadvaita is the oldest & original sampradaya as "First Vishnuswami" appeared at beginning of Kali yuga itself. He was sent By Rudra himself. Other sampradayas are born "very" lately. So Rudra is our Jagathguru and Vishnu is Parabrahma. /images/graemlins/smile.gif OM NAMAH SIVAYA /images/graemlins/smile.gif OM NAMO VENKATESAYA /images/graemlins/smile.gif OM NAMO BHAGAVATHE VASUDEVAYA
