Guest guest
Before Krishna came down to earth 5000 years ago, was everyone praying to Vishnu, Narayana or Rama? Or did they know that Krishna was the Supreme? Also, in Satya, Treta and Dvapara Yuga, did a larger percentage of the population realise that Krishna was the Supreme - or were they still calling him 'Vishnu, Narayana, or Brahman'? Guest guest
krsna comes in krsna form periodically in this earth.. but when krsna has come 5000 yrs ago vishnu worship was the standard other things: many do not recognized him as god at the first sight (remember brahma stealing cowherd boys and govardhana lila pastime), nanda maharaja had varaha murti at home, so there was vishnu's worship... anyway some worship of krsna were surely present when he was in the earth, because his great grand son were sculpting many murties of Him who are now worshipped in vrindaban or in rajastan
viji_53
It is always Narayana who took avatars to protect his devotees. Krishna was also one of the avatars of Narayana. Both Rama & Krishna were poorna avatars of Narayana. They lived like humanbeing & died like humanbeings. They showed people how a man should live in this world. Krishna before giving Gita lived according to His preaching in Gita. He was always detached & did everything with out attachment to the fruits of His actions. He showed to the world we should start preaching only when we follow our preachings. Narayana is the Paramodevata! No doubt in that! HariBhol!

viji_53
In Bhagavat only dasamaskanda describes the lilas of Krishna. All the other skandas describe including dasamaskanda the greatness of Narayana. They all reveal that Narayana took avatars as Matsya, Kurma ect avatar which includes Krishna avatar. When Arjuna was very dejected in the battle field Krishna reveals to him His real form Narayana embeded in him with everything. The Gita is narrated by swayam Narayana in the form of Krishna. It is childish to say Krishna is different from Narayana. Narayana has no beginning & end. Where as Krishna took birth & died . Krishna is paripoorna avatar of Narayana. Out of our love to one form we can not change the incidents of God's lilas. When we become fanatics, we loose the real goal of attaining Him as our ahankara arise above us in arguing our opinion alone is correct. Narayana took Krishna avatara to show that He is easily available to His devotees who are simple like Gopies with out any ego. He can be attained easily by our true love alone & not by fanatism! HariBhol!
Guest guest
it is not so good to say that everyone has different opinion is a fanatic.. better if you accept opinion differences god is one, there's not many gods, so narayana and krsna are surely the same person who display a different personality in different situations. it is possible to say that krsna is a superior personality not because krsna is different, but because krsna displays more intimacy. The example is a president or a king who behaves officially in his public function.. when he comes home and relationate with sons, wife, relatives and friends he behaves in an intimate way, maybe he's chastized by them, there's no fear, no reverence and so on. So intimate relationship is considered more deep and complete than official relationship, so it is possible in this way to consider krsna a more deep and complete display of personality than narayana differences end here.. intimacy.. if you do not consider intimate more than official or if you think the opposite you will have a different opinion about krsna and narayana... but it is not so important in this context, if one goes to krsna or to narayana or nrsmhadeva, or matsya etc. at the end of his life he is vaikunta and never comes back in material world
