How close we can have darshan at Srirangam ?

I heard only iyengars & madhva brahmins are allowed to have a very close darshan of Lord Sri Ranganatha. I am a sourashtra brahmin. I am not a Iyengar or Madhva Brahmin. So how close will i be allowed to have a darshan of "Lord Sri Ranganatha" in Srirangam ? please tell.

of course, i had visited "Srirangam" many times. at that time, i was a kid & didnt observed the above fact.

Hare Krishna,

Dear Gokul,

You can go close to Garbagraha(anu devotee), but as in any temple, you cannot enter the Sanctum-Sanctorum. I have visited many times. There is no restriction if you are a Brahmin or not. I belong to this town, actually a nearby town.

I was living in Saurashtra for 2 years. Tell me which place you are from. Rajkot, Jamnagar, Dwaraka these are some places I visited.

Thats great & soothing to hear that we can have darshan of Sri Ranganatha without any discrimination.

I think its also possible in tirupathi during sevas at early mornings.

thanks to "sri vaishnavas" for maintaining the "srirangam" & "tirupathi" for maintaining these two great temples.

I am living at "Chennai - Tamilnadu". my ancestors lived in Gujarat. now my kinmen are scattered throughout india.

I visited Mantralayam.

Reason for asking this question is : " in Mantralayam i was allowed to have darshan of "guru raghavendra" only from a distance". But Madhva brahmins were allowed to go near the rayarus brindavan. when i asked permission to enter, they gave a staring look at me as though i am a sudra.

Note : Even "Iyengars" were not allowed near the brindavan.Only Madhvas were allowed.

some other caste devotees tried to touch the golden chariot but madhva priests scolded them as telling them as sudras. But i boldly went & touched the chariot by chanting "Om namo bhagavathe vasudevaya". so they couldnt able to scold me.

i dont like this kinda caste discrimination in "Mantralayam" & other "dwaita" mutts.

I have lost all respect i had towards "Dwaitham". Of course, i still respect "Sri madhwacharya". i think these priests are misusing dwaitham. i dont think God Narayana will love these secretarial madhva brahmins.

Hereafter i wont visit any madhwa mutts . i will visit only Sri Ramanuja shrines & vishnu temples.I will not hereafter support dwaitham.

Hare Krishna,

Rayuru will be the most dis-heartened person at such behavior. I do not belong to any Vaishnava class. Such behavior will surely lead them only away from Lord.

Personlly I mix well with Smarthas than a Vaishnava. But I am convinced of Madhva teachings as they are true to my knowledge. Veda Samhitas confirm what I have learnt.

Hahahahahha. Good job. May be that just like we are not allowed to touch Murtis of Bhagavan in any temple, one is not allowed to touch the sacred objects belonging to Lord Raghvendraswamy(Rayuru). Only priests functioning in that temple are allowed to touch them. If the priest called others as Shudra, then they have fallen. No wonder those priests did not scold you as you uttered Lord's name as Rayuru himself then will be really pissed off with these priests.

I have downloaded your posts (proving vishnu as supreme)in my pc. thanks for that.

my father is a smartha. alomost all smarthas including my father are obsessesed with jyoti worship & they say vallalars way is best as he merged with jyothi.

since being my father i didnt debated/argued with him.

Even in our vaishnavam great souls like "goddess Andal, Alwars, Sri Sri Sugandha Deepa thirtha Swamigal, Sri Sri Venkata Surya Swamigal, Srimathi Meerabhai" merged with Sriranganatha/Sri krishna.

[also sri sri madhvacharya merged with vayu , sri sri vallabhacharya merged with yamuna & sri sri chaitanya mahaprabhu merged with ganges.]

so why do above scholars/saints/incarnations are not reverred as much as vallalar. why do smarthas give importance only to vallalar. i think above scholars/saints also deserve equal respect as vallalar has been given.

i think smarthas are narrow minded. they always try to belittle vaishnava sampradayas & its scholars. they say vaishnava sampradayas are for the "less-intelligent" & advaitham is for "wise people".

but smarthas view is not supported by vedas & smritis. so how does smarthas argue that their views are genuine ?

pls explain.
