barney
Vedaism is the relgion of the people who follow the the Vedas namely, Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda. Everything a man needs for his life into spritual journey and survival is found in the four Vedas. Vedaism is the only religion that gives great respect and spritual faith in the panchaboothas which consist of Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Ether. These panchaboothas play a significant part in every life form on earth. Besides the Vedasim, the Mayans, and Actaz too prayed to the panchaboothas as they too realized how important they are to survival of the their people on earth. Comparing Vedasim to other religions such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam, it is clear that Vedaism is a living religion because all the other three religons only talk great about their founders and none about paying respect to the most important factors of life and rituals in order to live in harmony with nature. Without these panchabootas there would be no life form in the whole universe. Rigveda is the oldest, largest and most important of the Vedas which tells us that we must sacrifice the required materials for rituals to appease the panchaboothas in order to harmonise the atmosphere we live in so that the panchabothas would not create inbalance which in turn would make living difficult for man and creatures. As the Sages of the vedic period knew the the panchabootas are spirits of high energy and needs to be appeased. This wa the secret that no othere religions knew about beside the Incas, Mayans and Actaz. The Yajur and Samaveda is the continunance of the Rigveda and many poems are offered to Varuna[Air] and Aghni[Fire] while the Atharveda strictly deals with diseases and remedies. Volumes and Volumes of these which we call the scripture or sastras are the most important doctorines of Vedaism. Without which the Indus Civilization would not have existed nor Hinduism as we generally call would have survived the time of evolution of almost 4,000 to 10,000 years. The spirits of the panchaboothas were later named as rulers of the celestial bodies and eventually they believed that there must be some higher spirits that controls the panchaboothas and all other life forms on earth. And so the Sages meditated upon these powers and discovered that there is a Supreme Brahman who controls all these and so came the upanishads that explains the process of creation and so on until the puranas were written. That is why I say Vedaism is a unique religion and needs to be protected at any cost so that it can live on for another hundred thousand years more.
