Guest guest
Though Advaita Vedanta is as old as God's creation itself, it has been very well established by Adi Sankara. The essence of his teaching is: Brahma satyam, jagat mithya, jeevo brahmaiva napara => Brahman is the truth, world is an illusion and there is no difference between individual and god. How do we understand this? Explanation below: When we dream we are not attached to our body and senses. The space, time and personalities in the dream: Where do they exist? But while dreaming, we feel it is so real. Once we wake up, nothing exists. Similar is the case with the world too. The whole of creation is just a god's dream or thought. Apparently it looks to be real. But in reality it does not exist at all. This is the question Janaka asked to a Sage: which world is real? The apparently existing world or the dream world? The sage taught him that neither of them are real. But the 'I" is real. Because "I" alone exists in both the states. Meditate on the thought: "I AM". Do not associate with anything else. The moment we think, "I am X", ego arises leading to attachment like my mom, dad, guru, friend, god, etc. Never get fooled. The word Sat-Chit-Ananda, rightly expresses this: Sat => EXISTENCE (I AM) Chit => AWARENESS (of "I") Ananda => BLISS (the very nature of "I" feeling) Why not listen to these words of timeless wisdom? maadhav
how would an advaiti deal with invaders, invaded ideologies, and terrorits; and how with those who convert by force or by enticing? how they would deal with those who say what sankara is teaching is devil's work? what solution advaiti offers to the problem of corrupton of india, and that the majority hindus are suffering insults from the anti-hindu minorityies in bharat? if one sees one's home destroyed or invaded and occupied by force, or one's mother raped, then should one think it is just a dream, and so stay calm and congratulte the raper? why did both advaitis and vaishnava aacharya did not think of saving hindus in india from the brute invaders? because the current kanchi shankaracharay is in jail, do you think it is just a dream and you have no action to take? Guest guest
"why did both advaitis and vaishnava aacharya did not think of saving hindus in india from the brute invaders?" acharya means master... you simply have to follow..not to suggest you are not acharya.. or the master of acharyas
