Fake vs True

Does anybody in this message board have any experiences of being with a fake or corrupt guru/spiritual organisation. Lately there has been a lot of such incidences in india. Really dont know whom to trust and whom not to. so many in india claim to be the ultimate personification of god possesing ultimate siddhis (which they never demonstrate). some openly loot money, some do the same indirectly from a selected few. After spending years with a organisation that promises to elevate you, you feel cheated. what is the solution ??

There is a famous book called "The search in secret india" by paul brunton where he identifies a lot of fake yogis in india during his time. He also identifies two real gurus during his time one being the Kanchi Maha swamigal and the other is Ramana Maharishi. His experiences with Ramana are really worth reading

--that's the first symptom to recognize the cheaters... if they say "i am god.." it is easy, they're exposed

 

After spending years with a organisation that promises to elevate you, you feel cheated. what is the solution ??

--the solution is to be more serious. If we are not serious in searching for spiritual consciousness, god send us a not so serious teacher.

 

let us pray god to be saved from maya, if we have a strong desire to be saved, god will send us a real pure person to be our shelter

 

if we choose to not have a master, our master will be maya, the society, the senses, the tv, the government and many other cheaters..
