is it wrong/sinful for a girl to marry a guy younger to her in age ,both being SHRI KRSNA devotees now?

do our shastras call it a sin?

will our merciful LORD SHRI KRSNA reject the girl and the boy entry in HIS kingdom inspite of their total dedication of their marriage to THE SUPREME LORD???

and what if they both had a physical relationship before they became KRSNA devotees and before their marriage, not knowing it is a great sin?

will they have to marry someother persons having each other in mind?is that not a sin?

the girl has lost her chastity to him(not under force, but with equal love for him).now, after realising what great sin they committed, they became devotees of THE LORD,they are unable to accept any other.

pl kindly advise.

they r waiting for SUPREME BLESSINGS!

I think that Krishna is more impressed by Love towards him and each other than by following perfectly the shastras. Younger and older is just a material designation.

Good note. I am sure Lord Krsna allows them both in His heaven. However, the Shastras do mandate sex only after marriage and that the girl to be younger than the boy.

No. it is just a vedic tradition.

do our shastras call it a sin?

No.

No, no, no.

and what if they both had a physical relationship before they became KRSNA devotees and before their marriage, not knowing it is a great sin?

he forgives, if you love him and try to do as he says.

that however does not mean it is okay to hve sex before marriage. one must avoid it, know early that it is not good.

will they have to marry someother persons having each other in mind?

no.

is that not a sin?

not sin, but such a marriage cannot be a happy marriage.

krishna is patita pavana.

they just underwent gandharva marriage.

such things did happen in the vedic times, but it was not a common social trend.

pl kindly advise.

let them get married happily and keep in mind thak krishna loves them, and his devotees also will love them.

what is sin secretly doing sex /love with a non spouse.

they r waiting for SUPREME BLESSINGS!

they will get it.

VEDAS,SHASTRAS are words which came out from the lotus mouth of OUR LORD.how can they go against it?VEDAS say that a man shd be older as the wife can SERVE him in a better way if she is younger to him.

moreover,a chaste wife is supposed to do 'SEVA' to her husband.VEDAS say that a woman can easily get "MUKTI" even if she devotedly serves her husband, especially if he is a devotee of the LORD.

a wife shd see THE LORD in him(in her husband).if the girl is younger to him,how can she serve him/devote to him,,is it not a sin to even touch his(her younger husband's) feet?

wont she attach KARMA to herself and to each other?

All you have written is right except the last part. Once a girl accepts a young man to be her husband, age does not enter the equation. He is her husband or Pati, and therefore her Lord. She won't incur Paapaphala by touching his feet and he won't get it either.

There was a reason why the wife was usully younger than the husband. Mostly it has to do with serving the old husband. In the very old days, since women committed Sati when the husband died, it would have helped if the wife was younger. When the widow did not commit sati, like in the majority of cases, the children took care of her.

The husband's Punaphala is supposed to be shared with his wife. This is why a Dvija wears two sets of Yagnyopavita's, one for self and one for the wife. Wife's job is to assist the husband, and the husband's job is to so Tapas, Sandhya and other Karmas.

But let's be flexible here. If we are not flexible, the young couple may decide to flee the fold of Hinduism. This will be a loss to the Hindu society.

Dear Maadhav,

This is indeed very nice. Good job. This is how we should all be.
