My guess is, we will be witnessing a new cycle as new species will come into play, same way we did 1.5 Million years ago.

 

What going to happen to us? No idea ... maybe we will be with God, or the Dewas and help the new species with their journey and our own spiritual progress will continue, but with new knowledge and new obstacle. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

Right now, Chimps and Apes are showing signs of Intelligence and social order just as Humans did 3.1 Million years ago and Dolphins in the sea already evolved to the point of having social order, ability to communicate, ability to perform hunting skills and such. We are looking at the world as we did 3.1 Million years ago when Homo Sapien and other Human-like beings comes into play.

 

Logic suggest the cycle will repeat, however, the question here is, what will happen to us? We live? or do we Perish?

(just speculating) May be Vyasa is recording new events for the new beings in the new cycle and may be he will hand-over that to the new Vyasa for the next cycle. The beings in the new cycle will not even be aware of events like Ramayana, Mahabharata etc, so may be they start afresh. We may be with the Devatas or Vishnu and helping these being or may be re-born as one of the new species.

If Mahabratha is actually long history from creation of the Planet to various species who came and developed (or destroyed) of period of millions of years (those Asuras, Arakans, Yaksa etc), then there is a chance that we are living with one period where new species will someday, speaks of us the same way we speak about Dewas and Asuras.

 

Somehow, I don't think they will have anything nice to say about us, though.

 

Somehow, I think Mahabratha could survive more than we could. And maybe the Gita also. After all, in the Gita, Sri Krishna did say He gave it to the Sun God who gave it to Manu and the Wisdom was passed down. So, likely, it will pass down for the next generation also.

 

Maybe the new species will become better at it than Humans could. I really hope we didn't disappoint Him too much.

The next cycle of kritha yuga will start after Kali is over.Again the same Hiranya kasipu and other positions will come but the soul occupying these positions will be new.

 

For example, in each Brahma life span, a normal jiva soul gets the position of Brahma.Similarly Indra's positions will be occupied by so many souls in so many kalpa cycles.

 

Even normal beings like you and me are mere material positions that will repeat itself every Kali yuga.The same matter will combine once again with the same proposition and will produce the same character.But the soul getting that position will differ and every soul has a chance to even get Brahma's position.

 

The attitude and past deeds of a soul gives it a Brahma's position or a dog-eater position.But the material designations are the same in every Kali yuga etc.

 

Thats why in Nadi Astrology, the sages predict the name of a person very accurately.They know it is same position Brahma,Indra in every cycle and their general behaviour wont vary too much.

 

Thats why astrology can trace the path of a material body as likely my character will be affected by the certain material compostion inherent.But at any cause the Divine Intervention and the soul's aspiration can change the fate and convert a Hiranyakasipu to a devotee in a cycle but it is the rarest of rare cases known only to Perumal.

 

In short,the material body is like a carriage of the Ferris Wheel of Chicago and on the same carriage so many souls travel and progress.

Jaya and Vijaya were very great devotees of Vaikuntha planet.They were in Vaikunda serving the Lord which Vaishnavas call a liberated state.But still, they had to descend to Earth that too as demons.Here comes the infalliable mysticsm of Vishnu's powers.We cannot simply perceive them and for every rule,the ruler makes an exception

 

Similarly the next cycle of Kritha yuga may see an entire new incarnations of the Lord and we cannot deny that possibility as He can take innumerable and unimaginable incarnations.

 

So a theory is valid on the space and time syndrome.A tribal man may have had hunting as normal thing but the same thing defies the ahimsa principle in our age.

 

Even 1000 years before, going for war was the perfect code of conduct for a young men but today everything is intellectual work.Hence we should not confuse by seeing the previous yuga's lifestyle and conduct.

 

Dasaratha had 60,000 wives because their life span was very high and he was able to satisfy all of them.

 

But for Kali yuga, one should have only one wife.In previous yuga's, a widow can marry the brother-in-law but in this yuga a widow or widower must sing the glories of the Lord for rest of life.It is not a hardship on their part but it applies to our age even scientifically.

 

So in gist,we must live in presence and work under the laws of the presence and get the maximum progress for our soul out of it.In this age, one need not go to forest and do tapas but remain in house,sing Bhagavan's glories,do his work and attain the liberation.

 

The same liberation that is got by meditation in kritha yuga,yajnas in thretha yuga,temple worship in dwapara yuga can be got in kali yuga by singing Hari's names.
