Guest guest
Bush attends church in China Beijing of 'particular concern' for denying religious freedom President Bush greets Rev. Liu Hongling at Gangwashi Church in Beijing on Sunday. BEIJING, China (AP) -- Putting human rights atop his agenda, President Bush promoted religious freedom in this communist nation Sunday by attending church services before meeting top leaders. The administration welcomed a trade concession from China. Bush tried to send a visible message about human rights across this land of 1.3 billion people by worshipping at the Gangwashi Church, one of five officially recognized Protestant churches in Beijing. On a chilly morning, the president arrived at the church with his wife, Laura. http://us.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/asiapcf/11/19/china-us.bush.ap/ ----
Sephiroth
Religion freedom to Bush means freedom to promote Christianity, NOT to encourage belief in God in all religions. That is the way with Christians - since 15th Century to now. Remember that.

Sephiroth
I don't know whether most people noticed or not, but Bush is suffering from his own fault and ignorant views. He started War in Afghan and Iraq and send thousands of youngsters to face death every day in Iraq and Afghan. So, in homeland, his popularity suffers and his actions are questioned by his own people. In International level, almost all Muslims hate him, many countries dislike his methods and many more slowly retracting their support to US. So, Bush is trying to win the world over by playing "Prophet of God" by encouraging Religion (same way, I guess Hitler tried to use Religion to justify Holocaust). Unfortunately, he is representing Christianity - a dying religion in Asia (in Japan, it is almost dead).
Guest guest
Hare Krishna, It has been predicted by Srila Prabhupada that one day a powerful world leader will take to Krishna Consciousness and spread the glories of Bhagavad-Gita and enforce it in society. That day will come, mark my words!!! Meanwhile, let's practice our dharma and tell everyone about the glories of the Holy Name. No doubt it will happen. It's up to us to take the opportunity to become an instrument in God's plan. Your aspiring servant.
Sephiroth
As long as Christianity exists, there will be no peace. As long as Islam exists, there will be no freedom of religion. Your Srila Prabhupada's words will come true ONLY if Christianity and Islam cease to exists and that is not in hand of those who supportive of them like Krishna Consciousness people. Those who supportive of Adharmic people will only become adharmic themselves. Words of Gita could be spread worldwide but it will not be by hands of leaders like Bush. Asian leaders will spread them, as they did hundreds of years ago.
