Guest guest
REIN OF LALLU-ASURA ENDS IN PATLIPUTRA (BIHAR) INSPITE OF HELP FROM ANOTHER ASURA OSAMA http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/625_0019000100173918,5.htm NEW DELHI: Many had expected it, but no one visualised the force of the gale. When it came on Tuesday, it was a tsunami of a verdict, carrying on its crest the NDA combination of Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and BJP, while sweeping aside Lalu Prasad's RJD to the margins. Lalu's 'lalten' lay shattered by Nitish's 'arrow'. The numbers were stunning. The NDA notched up a staggering score of 143, short of a two-thirds majority, but surpassing the most optimistic predictions of pollsters. The JD(U) alone got 88 seats and the BJP 55. What's more, the RJD was reduced to the third position — a mere 54 seats. How did this happen? Discontent against RJD misrule was building, and by the time the second poll of the year came, it had developed into a powerful tide that propelled NDA's Nitish Kumar to power, putting an end to RJD's 15-yearlong vice-like grip over the state. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1304686.cms
