Om is om... the seed sound of all mantra. the om is untranslatable, but you can find lots of stuff if you google it. Tat means "that" - and "that" refers to what you really are - Brahman. You know, tat Tvam asi... You are That, you are Brahman... Sat means reality. that which is birthless, deathless, ageless, timeless, CHANGELESS... the only thing that is real, everything else is unreal. it also means Truth - that which is one without a second, Absolute. and a combination of these words is very auspicious to repeat. good mantra. it also means that god (Hari) is the same as Om, Tat and Sat, and that Om, Tat and Sat, are also the same as Hari.
