melvin
Dear Valaya, You must be a near relative of mine for my last name is MABALAY. He, he. I have a chanting (japa) beads with me and that is the HOLY ROSARY given to me by the Knights of Columbus of which I`m a 2nd degree member. Well, try to imagine, Me, praying Our Father and Hail Mary and Glory Be, while at the same time chanting the Hare Krishna mantra on IT. Can you do that? Yours truly, Melvin
jijaji
shvu: But I guess, this is unavoidable, with Indian religious organizations wanting to go global, and trying to gather as many people as possible. We will only see more and more of this in future. jijaji: perhaps..but the variation melvin gives differs in that one of these groups will emerge as the topmost of the toppermost and their scripture will become the LAW-BOOK for humanity from then on. There are plenty of people who believe, their own religion will some day be the only religion in the world. The simple truth is, it makes absolutely no difference whether 10 people are sharing my faith or 10 million. How does the number matter? It will not affect my own progress in any way. Au contraire, when people get caught in such ideas, the effect can only be negative.
animesh
Satya ji: Or wearing white dhotis, sikhas and a big Iskcon’s japa-mala bag with their ‘gurus’ photo? I am not saying that everyone should wear white dhotis, sikhas and japa-mala bag with this guru's photo. Personally, I do not have any of these. But, I will not look down upon anyone who uses these things. Just because, I wear fullpant, does not mean that I should despise those who wear dhotis. shvu
Jijaji, The fact that it has not happened till date does not mean, it can never happen. Who knows? After all, a Mahajana has prophesied, apparently. All rascals like me will get knocked of in the war; people who were audacious enough to criticise the authenticity of the Thakurs, Goswamis, Maharajs and the Srilas. For the remaining folks [the non-skeptical type], one fine morning they will wake up to see the end of the war. Miraculously, all the Vedas, Bibles, Qurans, etc will be transformed/replaced by Srimad Bhagavatam [translated by a "pure devotee"], by the power of Yogamaya. Then the whole world will have one religion, KC and one holy book [the iskcon translation of the SB]. West Bengal will be to the new world, like Rome is to the present world. The ambition of taking over the planet will be fulfilled. Cheers
jijaji
quote: The ambition of taking over the planet will be fulfilled. jijaji: To have this ambition is indicative of wanting EGO fullfillment, recognition etc. It is also the result of a meglomania type religious mindset! For ANY religion to think that they are here to save all and that one day in the future their scriptute will become THE only LAW-BOOK for humamity is nothing short of a JIHAD mentality! of course we are just fault-finders.. ¸..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- jijaji -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´* [This message has been edited by jijaji (edited 10-18-2001).]
melvin
Jijaji, Are you taking SOMA RASA? It seems your graphics before signing-off speaks of it. Or maybe you have this disease called POST- URAL VERTIGO, or motion sickness. O.K. Take a deep breath so you can inhale more oxygen instead of car- bon dioxide. melvin
Dear (Urs Truly) Jijaji, I don`t take SOMA RASA because it can give you an illusion of what you are not. I don`t take amphetamines or dope that give you a sense of being the Lord. But you are not, nor you, in anyway, with your(+) Romberg`s test for al- coholism, can give you courage when you and your Special Forces get to confront the Taliban warriors in Afghanistan. This war won`t be like the Desert Storm which in one swoop defeated Sadam`s Army. This war is the Ultimate one where you have to use ur brains, not brawn to de- feat the enemy. Do you have the former trait? Well, I doubt it. Respectfully yours, Melvin
Tarun
Dhotis are worn at Winchester Cathedral. It's mentioned in the famous megaphonic #1 hit song's lyrics: Oh Dhoti Oh Dho, Oh Dhoti Oh Dho! Substantial proof. Demons are also Vedik, though not Vaisnav. Those in rajogun worship demons. Those is tamogun worship ghosts. Those who believe in Bushala enjoy a special blend... of rajas & tamas; Nothing to be proud of. Gore won Florida. The votes were finally tallied. So why Blair is even bothering to speak to Bushel? Why not, along with Gore, keep Bushing in the White House too? Wherein? In a room filled with Legos & Weighted Paper Planes. That way we can keep an eye on his daily progress. Therein Bushman can practice srsti/pralaya over & over again. Without hurting anyone, sans harming a soul. Something for everyone. America, Love it or Leave it; or better yet: Play Lego in it.
Jahnava Nitai Das
To think that the world will be under ONE religion and under one LAW-BOOK i.e.....Srimad Bhagavatam is nothing short of insane FUNDAMENTALISM..! Great saints such as Shankaracharya have made statements such as: ekam shastram devaki-putra-gitam eko devo devaki-putra eva eko mantras tasya namani yani karmapy ekam tasya devasya seva "Let there be one scripture, the Gita of Lord Krishna. Let there be one God, the son of Devaki. Let there be one mantra, Lord Krishna's name. Let there be one activity, the service of Lord Krishna." To Shvu: The claimed quote from "His Divine Grace" by Melvin was manufactured by him. It does not exist and has never been said by anyone else. That should be obvious since Jijaji's name appears in it. But even as a general quote, Prabhupada has not made such statements.

What about all the other religions of the world? To be honest with you I don't trust what you posted as being from Shankaracharya. Jahnava Nitai Das
O k..well that is still fundamentalism! What about all the other religions of the world? I think the distinction is one of "desiring" something to occur for the benefit of the world. If I say, "let the entire world be pure devotees of Lord Krishna" it doesn't imply that I would go around with a gun and force everyone to convert. It is just a desire that the world should be like that. In that sense, let the entire world follow the Gita, let them all chant the name of Krishna, let there be one deity, and one service. That would certainly benefit the world.
recruit
There is only one religion, Harer Namah...chant the Holy Names. All others are subsidiary. Krsna has unlimited names, of which Allah, Yaweh and Buddha are but a few. What is there left to argue about? Nothing, time for action folks, time to get out in the streets and purify the atmosphere with Harinam! marco
My Father in Heaven, Christ Krishna, why are US Pres. G.W. Bush and UK PM T. Blair not interested in reading Srimad Bhagava- tam, when the Holy Book was, in fact, edi- ted into the English language? If only His Divine Grace knew that these RASCALS wont be reading YOUR Book, He should have not gone to the West and have it printed, from its Sanskrit translations to its present form. In other words, if only His Divine Grace knew that these RASCALs won`t be rea- ding YOUR Book, He should have printed IT instead in TAIWAN, CHINA and JAPAN! marco
Conversations with my father, Melvin. ---- Marco: Father why do you like to wear shades? Are you blind? Of course not! Otherwise you`d have not taken the time to read this. Melvin: You see, son, at 44 yrs., my vision is not the way it was sup- posed to be. I had been reading Srimad Bhagavatam for 14 yrs. now and yet there are still verses in it that I have to understand why Krishna is a boar, a tortoise, a Lion, a Dwarf, Lord Buddha, the Kalki Avatar, Dhanvantari, etc. Krishna have unlimited expansions, see? Even me is just uninsignifi- cant expansion of His Lordship. A drop in the bucket, so to speak. Marco: My dear father, if it took that long to study Srimad Bhagavatam and yet has only scratched its surface, then how could Rascals like the US Pres. Bush and UK-PM Tony Blair understand just even its cover? Melvin: Actually, my son, not only they don`t read Srimad Bhagavatam but in fact they don`t even read the Holy Bible. Because if they did they would have turned the other cheek if someone slapped them on the other side, and would say, " Please forgive them GodFather for they don`t know what they`re do- ing." Marco: In other words, if they followed Lord Jesus command to love one a- nother, then Mr. Bush and Blair would not have bombed Afghanistan just to ferret out a man they call Osama Bin Laden. They would have took pity on those Afghan civilians who died during the bombing in Ka- bul and Kandahar and immediately declared to Gen. Colin Powell to stop this carnage. Melvin: That`s right, my son. But these rascals are hence in no other way different from the jackals in the animal kingdom. That`s why they must be stopped from pulling the whole world to hell if they don`t stop these senseless bombings. Marco: How, my dear father who art in hea- ven? Melvin: Simple, my son. Erase them from this web site! End of conversation ---------------------
