mateo
This Christmas Hymn of joy and praise is almost always sung as a processional at Christmas services. It was written by Charles Wesley(1707-1788)the brother of John Wesley, one of the founders of Methodism. Charles Wesley is said to have written nearly a thousand hymns, but only a few are still sung today. HARK! The Herald Angels Sing ----------------------------- By Charles Wesley Hark! the herald angels sing, Glory to the new born King, Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled. Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With angelic host proclaim, Christ(Krsnaraja) is born in Bethlehem. Hark! the herald angels sing Glory to the new born King. Christ(Krsnaraja), by highest heaven adored, Christ(Krsnaraja) the everlasting Lord Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of Mary`s( a Virgin) womb. Vieled in flesh the Godhead see! Hail the incarnate Deity! Pleased as Man with man to dwell, Jesus(Krsnaraja) our Emmanuel. Hark! the herald angels sing Glory to the new born King. Hail, the heaven-born Prince of peace! Hail, the sun of righteousness! Light and Life to all He brings Risen with healing in His wings. Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man no more may die, Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth. Hark! the herals angels sing Glory to the new born King. Note: Krsnaraja is considered a great Hero to many Hindu worshipers. Well-loved by the poor. He`s said to hold a flute and a serpent on the other hand as He dance before His subjects in His Kingdom(Vijayanagara,India). The song therefore which I`ve dedicated to Krsnaraja(in English-Chrisna the King)was taken from the Children`s Encyclopedia, copyright-1962 by Grolier.
