Tarun
VedAnta-sUtra IV One famous guru and/or his followers is busy preaching that muktas, being above devas = demigods, can create universes. VeDAnta-sUtra herein does not agree. 4.4.18 PratyaxopadezAn neti pratyaxopadezAn neti cen nAdhikArika maNDalasyoktaH direct, due to (direct) teaching; not, so, if, not; those entrusted with special function: world ruler, office-bearer, like BrahmA; of those abiding in spheres; due statements If it be objected this is not so, because there is direct scriptural teaching (Mukta becomes creator), we reply, no, it is not so. Why? Because those texts declare (Muktas enjoy pleasures) in world-rulers spheres. 555 4.4.19 vikArAvarti ca tathA hi sthitim Aha in worldly life = change; not existing; Brahman = that in which change does not exist; and; of that kind; because; abiding, position; says (Mukta ever abides in) That which is changeless, for Zruti has also declared such abiding.
