SaRup
Dear Devotees, What part of the Padma Purana does the Damodarastakam belong to? Is it of the original section or is it a newly added section? ys sr
Jagat
There is a section of the Padma Purana called the Karttika-mahatmya (Uttara-khanda 88-124 in my edition) where one would expect to find these verses. They are not found in my edition, therefore I assume they come from some other edition. The Goswamis quote a lot of verses from Padmapurana that I cannot find in my (electronic) version. shvu
There are at least 2 distinct recensions of the Padma Purana. The South Indian recension and the Bengal recension. You will have to check both to find what you want. Cheers
