Tarun
***Ono Tries to Block Lennon Photos World Entertainment News Network--JOHN LENNON's widow YOKO ONO is going to court to try and block the ex-BEATLE's former Personal Assistant from selling photos of the musical icon. The Japanese artist claims FRED SEAMAN's 374 photos, worth $910,000, are "private", and has instigated a copyright suit in Manhattan Federal Court, New York to prove it. Ono sacked Seaman in 1981 after he admitted stealing Lennon's diaries, but he claims the offending pictures are rightfully his, as they were taken with his own camera. He says, "For her to come along 20 years later and say they're hers is outrageous. It's not just about these photos, it's about control." Tarun
Heard from friends how Ringo's Birthday Beatle Jam was nicely celebrated at Strawberry Fields, Central Park, Manhattan, NYC, USA. Great opportunity to distributed mahA-prasAd, feast invitations, small books. At least 6 meetings/year: 4 birthdays, 2 deathdays. Great musicians show up, some incognito. I wouldn't go so far as to call them 4 avirbhavs & 2 tirobavs, although some would.
