Rathayatras: Amstrdam, Brlin, Brminghm, NYC...

Yesterday we attended Amsterdam Rathayatra. Very nice parade & kIrtan, small single telescopic cart.

ZrI Baladev, SubhadrA, JagannAth exited festival backseat Mercedes, ZrIla PrabhupAd up front.

Many wonderful precise details to be added later. A few comments.

1) A bit too much RockaRAma music. ZrIman Ramgati's 21 yr old son HaridAs expressed:

"I think Caitanya MahAprabhu does not like this music type; He thinks it's terrible." Then he covered his ears.

Rasta Christopher Max sang "My Sweet Lord" playing acoustic guitar.

2) Onstage Dance Choreography arranged by ZrIman Parivida included the Bliss Brothers (dressed atop like Blues Brothers John Belushi & Dan Akroyd with dhotis below), a sight for sore premanjana eyes.

3) So many local senior devotees showed up including former Temple presidents, treasurers, book distributors, cooks, potwashers..

They all should've been allowed, encouraged, invited to speak something, even if only for 3-5 minutes each.

Instead, stage microphone song/speech was dominated for 7 hrs by... let's just say a select sattvik few.

jnAn has its price; vijnAn is priceless.

4) 2 sannyAsis gave fundamentally sound KC lectures: HH Kadamba-kanana SwAmI & HH Bhakti-puruSottam SwAmI

5) Pakora cooks were non-sectarian, open-minded so fried grain prasAd was A-Okay, Both SuperFine & FineSuper.

All in all a noble attempt to bring KC to everyone in Benelux area.

Those few adjustments can easily be made for next year.
