Guest guest
RISA Lila - 1: Wendy's Child Syndrome Rajiv Malhotra ~ Sep 6, 2002 See this important article that has appeared today in Sulekha at: http://sulekha.com/column.asp?cid=239156 The article is very long, and very interesting, with several tell- tale quotes. "The Bhagavad Gita is not as nice a book as some Americans think.... Throughout the Mahabharata ... Krishna goads human beings into all sorts of murderous and self-destructive behaviors such as war....The Gita is a dishonest book..." -- Wendy Doniger, Professor of History of Religions, University of Chicago. Quoted in Philadelphia Inquirer, 19 November, 1999.
theist
The article was too long for my short and jaded attention span. One fact was brought to light yet again right from the beginning though. Relying on purely mental/speculative approaches to the transcendental subject matter must result in this sort of confusion. Not only bees buzz the outside of the honey jar, but flies are also sometimes seen sniffing around. But what the hell, that's what the material world is all about.
