Guest guest
Great links Raga. I can see why our acharyas warn us to be aware of imitations, there's an ever increasing archive of those coming in the Name of Krsna. Pays to be discerning in our choice of images and cotemplation. As there are some facinating mixes of conception behind some of those photos. There sure are some eye poppers in that collection. The paths of the jivas engaged in remembrance and forgetfulness of Sri Krishna. Such is the jungle.
raga
People in India tend to have names like Radha, Krishna and so forth. I don't think they pose off as avatars on account of their name. They are not imitating anything, it is just their good name there. Lucky people to have such names since birth. Guest guest
You are right. Indian Hindu parents invariably name their children with the names of Divinities, according to their Ishta devata. also they are supposed to remember God, and do hope to be saved at the time of death, just as Ajamila. Every one in my family have been named after either Madhava, or Krishna, or Rama, or Vishnu, or Hari, or Shankara, or Narayana. Kamala, Lakshmi, Sita, Savitri and so on. Guest guest
No problems with divine Names. All my family have them too. It's just that there is so much nonsense going on in the Name of Krishna behind many of those photos, of course there is some very positive links there to some worth while information also. Gauracandra
Sirona, You might try the DragonSearch on the front page of Indiadivine. There are lots of links, and one section on art in particular. Hope you find what you need.
