MISSIONARIES

& CHURCH

PLANTING

Church planting is a

most important part

of SISWA MISSION

TRUST. Currently

we are helping our

missionaries in the

villages to plant new

churches by

providing them

monthly support

and financial

assistance to

construct church

building.

Supporting

Missionaries :When

a missionary is sent

to a new village for

planting a church,

he needs to be

supported every

month even after

the establishment of

the church. Our

missionaries are

sent to villages

where there is no

electricity,

transport or access

to fresh water. Most

of our missionaries

rent small house or

hut. They face lot of

difficulties and

problems in these

villages, where

there are no other

Christian families to

support them or

encourage them.

SISWA MISSION

helps these

missionaries by

providing the

financial support

every month. A

missionary family in

the villages needs at

least Rs. 2500/-

($50) to cover their

full living expenses,

but it's not enough

to meet all their

needs.

As part of this

support we also

provide bicycles,

public address

systems, Bibles, and

other gospel

literature to equip

these gospel

workers for

effective

evangelism and

church planting.

Church Building

The important part

of church planting is

to help the

missionaries and the

villagers to worship

the Lord with

freedom. The

congregation of the

Indian churches in

the villages are

made by

downtrodden

people, usually

laborers and

farmers, who

cannot support the

church construction

work financially on

their own. They

gather in our

missionaries rented

house or under a big

tree to worship the

Lord, and in some

cases, under a

thatched roof.

These churches are

in need of financial

assistance for

erecting a simple

prayer hall for the

purpose of Sunday

worship and weekly

meetings.

A normal church

building in an

Indian village is 60

ft. long and 20 ft.

wide with concrete

walls and a concrete

roof. The church is

fitted with windows

and doors.

Generally, building

a simple prayer hall

like this costs about

$ 7,000 to

$10,000.

As part of our

church planting

efforts, whenever

possible, we

endeavor to assist

pastors in India in

building worship

facilities for their

churches. Currently

we are helping a

number of churches

in Andhra Pradesh,

Karnataka, Kerala,

Tamil Nadu, West

Bengal, Andaman

Islands, Nepal-India

border with their

church building

programs.
