Guest guest
Hi I know this is the Krishna forum but couldn't find a forum for a question about the Mahabharat so decided this might as well be it. The question: In the Mahabharat does it tell about how Ashwathama became immortal? Thanking you.

Gaea
something to do with a gem in his forehead, which Arjuna removed after the war. BEcause of his sins, he is in atonement. Apparently he will be one of sapta-rishis taht will carry forward the Vedas after the next pralaya. Apparently.

Guest guest
Ashwatthama had killed the Warroirs from Pandavas' sides including sons of Of Draupadi when they were fast asleep. Hence Lord Shrikrsihna took away gem from his forehead & cursed him that his wound won't get healed. He was cursed to wander over the earth in the same condition. Today also , it is believed that Ashwatthama is wandering in the forests near the river, Narmada. Regards, Amol
