Guest guest
You know that the beginning is the most important part of any work, especially in the case of a young and tender thing; for that is the time at which the character is being formed and the desired impression is more readily taken... Shall we just carelessly allow children to hear any casual tales which may be devised by casual persons, and to receive into their minds ideas for the most part the very opposite of those which we should wish them to have when they are grown up? We cannot… Anything received into the mind at that age is likely to become indelible and unalterable; and therefore it is most important that the tales which the young first hear should be models of virtuous thoughts…. Then will our youth dwell in a land of health, amid fair sights and sounds, and receive the good in everything; and beauty, the effluence of fair works, shall flow into the eye and ear, like a health-giving breeze from a purer region, and insensibly draw the soul from the earliest years into likeness and sympathy with the beauty of reason. There can be no nobler training than that. Plato’s Republic
Guest guest
the power of media is first realized in recent time by the asuric ideologies/ materialistic nations. KC persons are behind in realizing it, or have no money and manpower to use media on a grand scale as the above post indicates. once, even 3-400 years ago in india dharma was taught in schools. now dharma and dharmi are slandered/ rediculed. schools teach of cats and dogs, not gods and ethics. this is to change soon. HK's can help a lot in this area. HK's are vedic people and India is vedic land.
Guest guest
To me it appears that India is still in an advantageous position. There is still time, though short, to be strong and learn from our mistakes in the West. Learn from our misuse of freedom and especially as it applies to the immensly powerfull medium of television(hynovision). In our country it is next to impossible for well meaning parents to protect their children from the onslaught of hellish TV programming. The music medium as well. It is everywhere and finding new lows in each successive year. Do the Indian people know that on cable TV here they show not only explicit heterosexual sex but now even homosexual programs? Do you want your children exposed to that? If not you better speak up now and loudly. There is alot materially that you can learn from us. But that should include learning from our mistakes as well. Be intelligent India and keep the uniquness of your own culture. Make the convieniences of the modern world subservient to your higher nature and leave the rest. Be swans.
