Guest guest
I am back. I posted the copyright on the Maha-mantra. I have been around the fringes of ISKCON for years and am aware of it's history and problems. During Prabhupada's prescence, ISKCON was enthused with the hope, nay - even the expectation, that it would save the world. Are there any devotees out there who have views on the present phase of ISKCON and whether Prabhupada's dream will be fulfilled? what is the potential? Does ISCKON have the potential? theist
What exactly do you mean by "save the world"? That phrase may mean different things to different people.
Guest guest
Well, different things to different people I think here would "basically" mean the same thing. We all know the meaning and status of material goals and activities. The world is slowly dying under demoniac interests. ISKCON was thought for a long time to be the hope for humanity. The organization that could provide a sound spiritual philosophy and practical activity to the masses in an attempt to thwart general material dogma. It was thought to be an extension or manifestation of Lord Caitanya's sankirtana movement. It was thought to bring about spiritual revolution. So I'd like to hear from any devotees that care to comment on where ISKCON has been, where it is, and where it's going in the context of this mission idea to "save the world." Hari Bol! Guest guest
If a person is fortunate enough to start chanting the Hare Krishna mantra they can save themselves from continued rebirth according to karma. If you can make one person in the world aware of this in your lifetime you have done a great service to the Lord.

Guest guest
In my opinion ISKCON has already saved the world so we should save ISKCON and allways look for a way to assit in the big kirtian. We may think the kirtian sometimes isnt so sweet but still Prabhupada has given us Kirtian to chant,. We may also think we have very little to offer or there isnt any way to serve but if we just Chant Hare Krishna and follow Srila Prabhupada we are all cells of ISKCON ISKCON is univerisal and it is for every living enity Srila Prabhupada mood is like that non sectarian even His Divine Grace is intrested in serving the whole enviroment not just the souls within Human bodies, Mangers may see so many diffreneces and dangers and they try to protect the instrution of the Soicety of ISKCON They can be heared and thier ideas comtenplated it is a piety tho that some think thier opinions are absolute truth Absoulte is the Acaryas opinion and within ISKCON firstly this is His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada and no one else. One whom acceapt this is a working part of the equation of ISKCON a healthy cell. One who has a new or conterdictory opinion of Srila Prabhupada the founder and Acarya of ISKCON is a cancerous cell and they infect the ISKCON body They tho can be reformed by His Divine Grace If they assoicate with his Divine Insructions and become again a useful part of ISKCON We loose when we offend
Guest guest
as of now, US gov. saves (let function) iskcon. unless the krishna devotees spear-head the intellectual battle with the barbaric ideology islam and show/prove to the world that if no terrorism is wanted then no room should be allowed for that ideology in the world, this islam cancer will spread and cause unrest and terrorism where ever it goes. (check the history to realize this truth.) even just recently 24 hindus were killed by these barbarians in kashmir area. iskcon poses as an international org and preaches of the universal dharma, but so far has failed to tell the truth to the world that islam is barbaric. it also has un-wisely alianated with the hindus who consider them as the hindus and support them. this is like hijacking whole hinduism, following and preching it nicely and telling that it is not hinduism (sanatana dharma). hinduism is just a new name of sanatana dharma given in gita. it is krishna who saves the world. the time is to preach krishna's message at this time, not of chaitanyas (which is good for times when there is no terrorism). jai sri prabhupada! Guest guest
I personally feel that, in the long run ISKCON would certainly grow from strength to strength and would contribute positively to the spiritual aspirations of the people, particularly from the West, where the affluence, comforts and luxuries can really take a devotee away from his/her real goal, to achieve salvation. The influence of Kaliyuga is so strong that, people feel it out-of-fashion to discuss God, Karma and Rebirth. And when they really feel the need to do something, it is usually too late. Under such circumstances, ISKCON certainly can be considered to be a ray of hope, that would illuminate the darkness in the lives of innumerable people. Guest guest
A deluded monkey, thinks the fish will die living in the river. It "saves" the fish by placing it on the tree and feeds it with peanuts. Haribol ! SDdasa
