Guest guest Posted July 14, 2003 Report Share Posted July 14, 2003 I thought that you might like the following verse I found in Narada Pancaratra 1.1.77 bhrnghrascapi goghnasca sudraghnasca krtaghakah visvasaghati bidhoji sa eva hrpapataki [Mahapatikis are the worst sinners, they include persons who kill brahmanas, women and have sex with the wife of the guru. The second class of sinners known as upapatikis are described as follows:] "upapatikis are those who kill the child in the womb (perform abortions), kill sudras and cows, are ungrateful, practice treachery and who eat stool."
