What determines the nature of prasadam,sanctified foodstuffs ?

Is it a matter of purified consciousness

 

of the devotee who makes the offering with love and devotion

 

that the Lord then accepts the foodstuffs

 

which we in turn honour as Prasadam ?

We may try to offer with love and devotion, but who has these qualities? Pure devotees do, the rest of us are simply neophyes, so its Krishna mercy that he accepts our offerings.

 

(although I hope so, I am a very very bad cook, so poor Krishna has to eat my distasteful food, why you may ask, casue I offer a Tulasi leaf with it, Ha Ha.) sorry krishna.

 

although also, the food is accepted first by the spiritual master and then offered to each pure devotee, until it reaches-Lord Gauranga-Radha-Krishna, but of-cource you know that.

love devotion and parampara'.... offer to your spiritual master... he will offer to gopis ... gopis to radha ... radha to krsna (sri guruvastakam)
